This section was originally created by Matt McGee and the rest of @u2´s staff as a part of their U2 collecting area. By the end of 2006 Matt decided he didn't have the time to keep the section as updated as it deserved and asked for some help. We had clear that this Autographs section was a perfect addition for "The Collector" area at U2eastlink.com so we asked him to lent us all that content. He quickly agreed and we started our job to get it ready. We decided to keep the original structure adding spanish as a second lenguaje. This will be a bilingual section as present visitors are used to surf on it in english and some of them will come straight from @u2.

Unless you were there when an autograph was signed, you really have no guarantee -- not even the ever-present "Certificate of Authenticity" -- that the autograph you're buying or trading for is legitimate.This section is an attempt to change that. We will use this section of our website to display as many high-quality, authentic U2 autographs as possible for the collectors' benefit. Because signatures change over time, we will try to display as many autographs from each band member throughout U2's career. Because the conditions in which an autograph is signed (the frenzy of a post-concert crowd of fans versus pre-arranged, indoor signing sessions), we will try to explain the conditions in which the autograph was obtained.In any event, we hope that by seeing the autographs displayed below, you'll be able to make better decisions before purchasing or trading for an autograph which may or may not be authentic.
