As you know, Nova 100 was intending to play the new U2 song 'Vertigo' at 8.30 this morning.

We have all been very excited about bringing this extraordinary new track to you. However, we have been told today that we can't play the track until tonight. Our lawyers have had correspondence on this yesterday and we will not now be playing the song until the "official" release time today at 6pm.

I can't begin to tell you how disappointing this is for us. To be unable to play this amazing song from this extraordinary band right now, is both frustrating and disappointing for all of us.

We know from the emails and phone calls we've been receiving how excited you were to hear it, and can assure you when you do you'll love it.

I apologise immensely for us having to delay the playing of the U2 song, however at 6pm today, it will be straight on the air on Nova 100.
